1. Your data stays on your device

ChatWrapped processes your WhatsApp chat export entirely in your browser. Your chat messages are never uploaded to our servers, never stored, and never transmitted to any third party. Once you close or refresh the page, all chat data is gone.

2. Shared reports

If you choose to use the "Share" feature, we store an anonymised summary of your chat statistics (message counts, activity patterns, personality archetypes) in our database. This summary contains no message content — only aggregated numbers. Shared reports are publicly accessible via their unique link. You can delete your account and all associated shared reports at any time by contacting us.

3. Account data (Google Sign-in)

If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and a unique identifier from Google. We use this only to associate your shared reports with your account and to manage your Pro subscription status. We do not sell or share this data with third parties.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Paddle. We do not store or see your payment card details. We only receive a confirmation of purchase to activate Pro features.

5. Analytics & advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements to free-tier users. Google may use cookies to show relevant ads. You can opt out via Google Ad Settings. Pro users are ad-free.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and localStorage to remember your login session and Pro unlock status. No tracking cookies are set by us beyond what is required for authentication and Google AdSense.
